The fit was prefect for my ruger short action. After assembly I notice that the the forearm is rather slick to hold, I feel that some checkering would give a better grip.

With that said, maybe checkering could be offered as an add on? I recently purchased this M77 Heritage stock in "Woodland Camo" satin finish.

It was a difficult choice to make between this and Cayenne. With the Ruger stock there was a large air gap so the latch in front of the trigger guard had no problem catching the magazine door. Just touched the tip on the magazine door with a dremel tool and that problem was solved. My final decision to buy a stock on this site was based on Ron Sumner's review. The stock and barreled action fit together nicely. The finish and recoil pad were perfect. Very nice product, I could not be more pleased.
