Also it's pretty surprising how much the premium modifiers help. Farming houses is always an option as well and works good with blue houses, but it can make your town look crappy.

If you need the cash, I would just build them. Blue Houses seem to be the best for cash. You can pretty much farm them up to 3 times a day. Blue farm, might as well get it now cuz coming up are some pretty big purchases.

All I can advise is make sure your people are never idle, and invest in houses. Donut items that give bonuses to money gains may be worth it.

I prefer the purple house and blue house because they're inexpensive and you need only check them every 3 or 8 hours to maximize their yield. The brown house can yield more in theory, but you'd have to check it constantly.
